In-Person Attendance
For those who have RSVP’d for the ASWSUG Reception Dinner, there will be a sign-in table, cash bar, and graduation cap decorating station open from 6:00-7:00 p.m. on the fourth floor of The Westin Seattle hotel. Dinner will begin at 7:00 p.m. During the reception, we will have an opportunity to hear from a Global Alum guest speaker, as well as invite any graduates to share their journey or words of gratitude. Those that choose to share will be eligible for prizes from ASWSUG.
Note: No outside drink or food permitted in the event.
Before the Ceremony — Saturday, May 4, 8:30-10:00 a.m.
Parking at The Westin Seattle hotel is $18 for self parking and $28 for valet parking. If the parking lot is full, use this map to find one of several parking options in the surrounding area. Graduates and guests interested in taking public transportation to the commencement events at The Westin can visit the Sound Transit website to find schedules and routes to plan a trip.
After arriving, enter the Lobby and proceed to the Grand Ballroom on the fourth floor of the hotel. In front of the ballroom entrance, you will see the check-in table to sign in. Check-in will be open from 8:30-9:30 a.m. and coffee and light refreshments will be available. No outside drink or food permitted.
Once you are signed in, your guests should proceed into the Grand Ballroom to be seated. Doors will open at 9:00 a.m. for those wishing to find seats early. At 9:30, graduates should proceed the 5th Avenue room on the fourth floor to be staged for entering during the ceremony.
Note: Reserved accessibility seating will be available in the front rows of the Grand Ballroom. Be sure to ask an usher at the event for assistance if you or one of your guests needs it.
During the Ceremony — Saturday, May 4, 10:00 a.m.-Noon
The ceremony will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. and feature speeches by the Global Campus chancellor, a guest speaker alum, and student government leaders. All students (attending virtually and in person) will be recognized in order by degree program.

Guests are welcome to take photos during commencement, but we kindly request that they remain at their seats. There will also be a professional photographer taking photos during the ceremony, and a photo booth will be available for use before and after the ceremony. Photos will be made available for free a week following the ceremony.
