Blackboard Learn: How to get started

Welcome to Blackboard Learn, WSU’s learning management system. We believe you’ll find this LMS is a simple, convenient, and flexible way to earn your degree through WSU Global Campus. The links and other information below will help you get started.

Note: WSU is currently piloting the Canvas LMS for a limited number of courses. If one of your classes will be using Canvas instead of Blackboard, you will be informed before the course start date and given instructions on how to proceed. If you need help with the Canvas LMS, visit the Canvas Student Guide or contact the Crimson Service Desk.

How to Log In

Go to and log in with your Network ID (the first part of your address), and your Network ID password.

Sample Course

View a sample course at Select “Non-WSU sign-in Here” and log in with:
Username: wsustudent
Password: wsustudent

Going Mobile With Blackboard

Blackboard supports mobile use on both Android and Apple. Find instructions and links to download the free app at the How to Use Mobile Learn page. Once the app is downloaded, search for “Washington State University Blackboard Learn.” (If you search for simply “Washington State University,” you’ll get the app for the previous system, Angel.)
