How to Register

Pullman, Vancouver, Tri-Cities, and Spokane Campus Students:

For information about enrolling in WSU Global Campus courses, select this link.

Global Campus Students:

  • Log in to, using your NID and password.

  • Select Go to my Student Center from the Student Center pagelet on your myWSU home page.

  • From your Student Center home page, select Search for Classes. In the Search for Classes section, you'll see several Class Search options, and an option to choose Additional Search Criteria, as shown in the image below.

    • First, be sure the Term drop-down menu lists the term in which you plan to enroll. Then choose at least two search criteria before selecting the Search box.
    • Select Global Campus from the Campus menu, to filter out courses on other campuses.
    • To see all courses available in a particular subject, choose a subject from the Subject menu. To search for a specific course, choose a subject and input a course number, such as Criminal Justice 101.
    • To see courses that are currently full, in case you wish to be on a waitlist, uncheck the Show Open Classes Only checkbox.
    • Select Additional Search Criteria to see more options, as shown in the image below.

      • To see a list of courses offered which will fulfill a University Common, General Education, or Writing in the Major Requirement, select the specific requirement from the Course Attribute drop-down menu.
  • Once you've found a course you are interested in, choose Select to see more information about that course. Select the Section link associated with the course to see the course capacity and additional information, as shown in the image below.

    • Enrollment Requirements: Many courses have prerequisites. myWSU will prevent a student from enrolling without the proper prerequisites. If you are working towards a degree, your academic advisor will confirm that you have met the requirements.

      If you are not seeking a degree, and you feel confident that you can be successful in a course with prerequisites, please contact us at

    • Required course materials: In the Notes section you'll see a web address, or URL, to the course information page, where you can to view information about required textbooks and media. Copy and paste the link in a new browser window to see the information. This information is also available by selecting the More Information link for the course in the WSU Schedules of Classes.
  • Select Next to add a course to your shopping cart.

    • If a course is full, but you want to be added to the Wait List, select the Wait List checkbox. When a spot opens up on a wait listed course, the student who is first on the list will automatically be added to the course.
  • Complete your registration:
    • Select the link to go to your shopping cart.

    • Select the checkbox to the left of each course that you wish to enroll in, then select Enroll.

    • The Confirm Classes page will appear with those courses listed.
    • Choose Finish Enrolling to register for the courses you've selected.
