Global Campus Chancellor: Black History Month

Dear Global Campus Cougs,

February is Black History month, a time to acknowledge and celebrate the incredible achievements of African Americans and their invaluable contributions to our communities, politics, culture, and global society. It is also another opportunity to recognize the immense challenges the Black community still faces in attaining true freedom and equality across our nation and the world. This month, I implore all Global Campus Cougs to dedicate time and effort to introspection and exploring what we can do in our own lives to make a more equal and just society.

I also highly encourage you to look into all the great Black History Month events WSU is offering for the remainder of the month. Be sure to visit the African American Student Center’s Black history month event page to learn more.

I wish you all the best as you continue to work hard on your studies this term.
