Tell Your Story with NSSE and Make a Difference

Since 2000, WSU senior and first-year students have been invited to take the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE), a survey centered around student engagement and the educational experiences available at WSU. NSSE provides data for WSU that can be analyzed for different campuses, colleges, schools, academic departments, and student affairs groups.

This survey is an opportunity to tell your story and help make a difference in the lives of other WSU students. Past NSSE results have helped WSU expand student services and provide Cougs across all WSU campuses with the resources and support they need to succeed and achieve their academic goals.

How It Works

On March 1st, WSU senior and first-year students will receive an email with an invitation to take the NSSE survey. Students also receive up to four reminder emails (on March 9, 15, 23, 29). Emails are sent by NSSE on behalf of WSU President Kirk Schulz. You may also access the survey through a tile in myWSU or by clicking through to myWSU from announcements or social media posts.

The survey will remain open until mid-May. In appreciation for participating, students who complete the survey by April 15 will be entered into campus drawings for $100 Visa gift cards.

NSSE 2021 is a comprehensive survey asking you to reflect on your experiences at WSU. The estimated time to complete the survey is 15-20 minutes. If you’re unable to complete the survey in one session, NSSE will save your progress for later.
