Global Campus Selected for PTK Transfer Honor Roll

Washington State University Global Campus has been selected for Phi Theta Kappa’s prestigious 2023 Transfer Honor Roll, recognizing WSU’s fully online campus among the most transfer-friendly colleges in the nation.

“This recognition is a testament to our commitment to supporting and empowering transfer students,” said Cody Singer, Global Campus’ director of admissions. “At Global Campus, we’re deeply committed to making the transition to our institution as smooth as possible.”

Founded in 1910, Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) is an honor society dedicated to recognizing the academic achievements of college students and providing opportunities for them to grow as scholars and leaders. PTK’s Transfer Honor Roll acknowledges institutions that have demonstrated excellence in supporting transfer students in an effort to ensure a seamless transition and a nurturing environment.

Along with dozens of high-demand online degree programs, Global Campus offers a wide range of resources, services, and engagement opportunities designed specifically to meet the needs of online transfer students.

“Being recognized in this way reaffirms our commitment to serving transfer students and PTK members with excellence and ensuring their success at WSU Global Campus,” said Singer. “But being on the Transfer Honor Roll is only one aspect of our relationship as a proud PTK partner.”

Global Campus also provides the opportunity for PTK members to apply for a $2,500 PTK scholarship to help offset educational expenses.

The campus’ admissions team has worked to streamline the transfer process for PTK students, waiving the normal application fee for PTK members and carefully tailoring the admissions and transfer credit evaluation processes specifically for transfer students.

“Our goal is to maximize the transferability of previous coursework and minimize any disruptions to the educational journey,” said Singer. “That can really mean a lot for students trying to find the best way to reach their educational goals.”

Global Campus’ experienced advisors are ready to guide students through the transfer process, help navigate program requirements, and assist in creating a customized academic plan that aligns with individual goals. The campus’ vibrant transfer community also empowers students connect with fellow transfers, engage in student organizations, and participate in events specifically tailored to enhance their experience.

“More than anything, we want transfer students to have the opportunity to thrive, both academically and personally,” said Singer. “I highly encourage PTK members, and transfer students in general, to take a look at what we have to offer and consider joining our worldwide family of Cougs.”
