Global Campus Chancellor’s Awards

WSU Global Campus is celebrating student excellence with the Global Campus Chancellor’s Awards. These awards highlight the exceptional students who have made a meaningful impact on the Online Cougar community. Each category winner will receive $500 for their contribution to Global Campus and/or their community.

Chancellor’s Awards categories: 

  • Community Outreach Award: This award recognizes Global Campus students who strive to build stronger communities at WSU Global Campus or in their local communities through advocacy and engagement. 
  • Campus Inclusivity Award: This award recognizes Global Campus students who strive to create an inclusive environment through education, advocacy, and action. 
  • Campus Involvement Award: This award highlights a Global Campus student that actively participates in building community at Global Campus through student involvement events or activities such as clubs, workshops and leadership opportunities and encourages others to participate and engage. 
  • Crimson and Gray Award: A Global Campus student that demonstrates one or more of these characteristics: Academic Excellence as evidenced by research or innovation, or Perseverance and Determination as evidenced by overcoming barriers to success. 

Additionally, one extraordinary Global Campus student will be recognized with the WSU President’s award for Leadership, for their outstanding achievements in multiple categories and receive a prize of $1000 along with a commemorative award. Since 1996, the President’s award for Leadership has been an honor bestowed annually to students, faculty, and staff representing the top leaders at WSU. Recipients of this prestigious award demonstrate exceptional leadership and service to the university and the community as well as to those who support leadership development in WSU students. 

Nominate a Global Campus student or yourself by March 7

If you know a Global Campus student that has excelled in any or all of these categories, please visit our Chancellor’s Award Nominations page and begin the brief nomination process. Anyone can be a nominator for these awards, whether you’re WSU faculty, staff, alumni, or a member of the community, all nominators are welcome. Students may also self-nominate by filling out the nomination form and providing two references.

Winners will be notified in the beginning of April and a virtual award ceremony will be held later that month.

Please note: students may only win an award once per degree path (undergraduate, graduate degree, etc.). All nominations must be completed by March 7, 2025, to be considered for an award. Nominees must be currently enrolled at Global Campus or have graduated within one academic year.
