Reimbursement Program Update
Your student government has important update about the ASWSUG Reimbursement Program. After taking a closer look at how the reimbursement program has been impacting students, it was discovered that, in some cases, it has unintentionally affected financial aid packages. Since your success and well-being always comes first, we’ve made the tough decision to discontinue the current reimbursement program. We do not want to continue offering a service that may inadvertently cause harm. We know this might be disappointing news, but our commitment to supporting you hasn’t changed. Here’s what’s happening next:
What’s Staying
- The Grocery Voucher Program will still be available! It’s a great resource and poses minimal risk to financial aid.
- We strongly recommend that you always check in with the WSU Financial Aid Office about how any type of financial assistance may affect your specific aid package.
What’s Coming
- We’re working on new ways to support students that are helpful, meaningful, and financially safe.
- Join our ASWSUG Financial Resources Email List to stay informed about updates on our financial resources and future initiatives
Thank you for your understanding as we make these changes. If you have questions, ideas, or just want to chat about how we can better support you, reach out to us!
Qualifications for Grocery Vouchers requires the following:
- Applicants must be a WSU Global Campus student who pays the Services & Activities (S&A) fee and are enrolled in six or more credits during the semester in which they apply.
- Students enrolled in the Electric Power Engineering Online Program (PSM), OMBA, or EMBA programs who do not pay the Services & Activities (S&A) fee may be considered for eligibility through the Donor Food Fund, provided that funds are available at the time of application.
For international students, please contact the Director of Finance directly.
Important Note: Please be aware that funding for the Grocery Voucher Program is limited. Due to high interest, vouchers may run out before the end of the semester. We encourage students to apply early to increase the likelihood of receiving support.
