WSU Global Campus Virtual Mentor Anna Chesnokova discusses burnout, suggesting some tips on how to avoid and manage stress as a busy college student.

Washington State University’s Winter Session offers students a valuable opportunity to get ahead of schedule or stay on track to graduation following Fall 2020’s fully virtual semester. Currently open for registration, Winter Session allows students to quickly earn three credits during the weeks before the start of Spring Semester. This extra session may be particularly valuable to students who had to drop a course while adjusting to the Fall 2020 pandemic-induced distance learning format.

This session will introduce students to best practices in building your brand on LinkedIn. We’ll show you the key components of a compelling profile and introduce you to ways you can build your professional brand beyond your profile. Learn how to network effectively and stand out in the right way by understanding how the LinkedIn platform works.

Whether this is your first time developing a professional resume and cover letter, or you are trying to update an older version, this workshop will provide you with great tips, tricks, and reminders that will help you develop polished professional materials.

WSU’s official esports program will participate in a series of standalone exhibition matches across multiple video games this fall. The competitions are being organized by the newly formed “Pac-U,” made up of esports organizations from public and private universities that represent the NCAA™ Pac-12™.

Interviewing can be scary. This workshop addresses key aspects of the interview process: preparation, interview types, what to expect, and how to answer the behavior-based questions. A good resume gets you noticed, but strong interview skills will help you land the job.

October 5 – 7 from 8:00 am to Noon PT – Handshake’s Virtual Expo is a 3-day event giving employers the opportunity to schedule one-on-one time with students or group sessions to share information about their company and open positions. Students are able to schedule their interactions at the fair ahead of time and will not have to wait in line during the actual fair. Video, chat, and audio conversations will all be available on Handshake.
