If you have an&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/admission.wsu.edu\/apply\/as\/transfer\/credits\/associates\/\">approved transferable associate&#8217;s degree<\/a>, most of the UCORE requirement may have already been met.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Visit&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/ucore.wsu.edu\/students\/\">ucore.wsu.edu\/students<\/a>&nbsp;for information about UCORE, including categories and course lists.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">College of Arts and Sciences Additional Requirements<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Applicable to Global Campus students majoring in Criminal Justice, Social Sciences, Humanities or Psychology<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>All students, including community college transfer students with an approved transferable AA degree from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, California, Arizona or Hawaii, or students pursuing a second major in the College of Arts and Sciences, will be held to the following additional requirements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Foreign Language: Complete 2 years of high school or 1 year of college in a single foreign language.<\/li><li>Additional 3 semester credits of [SSCI,] [HUM], or [ARTS] for a total of 12 semester credits of UCORE.<\/li><li>Additional 1 lab credit of [BSCI], [PSCI] for a total of 8 semester credits and 2 labs.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Writing Proficiency Requirements<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Graduation requirements that all students must complete:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>University Writing Portfolio\/Qualifying Exam<\/strong><br>Students must satisfy this requirement once they have earned 60 credit hours<\/li><li><strong>Writing in the Major [M]<\/strong><br>Required for all majors\u20146 credits<\/li><\/ul>\n\n        <\/div>\r\n    <\/div>\r\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wsu-accordion\">\r\n    <h3 id=\"unique-id-1__69314\" class=\"wsu-accordion__title\">\r\n        <button class=\"wsu-accordion__title-button wsu-accordion--toggle\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"unique-id-1__content\">Graduation Procedures<\/button>\r\n    <\/h3>\r\n    <div id=\"unique-id-1__content\" class=\"wsu-accordion__content\" aria-labelledby=\"unique-id-1__69314\">\r\n        <div class=\"wsu-accordion__content-inner\">\r\n            \n\n<p>Once you have completed 90 credits and are certified in your major, you can apply for graduation in <a href=\"https:\/\/my.wsu.edu\">myWSU<\/a>. The graduation date is something that you determine\u2014you may elect to graduate at the end of fall, spring, or summer semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Apply<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>From your myWSU Student Homepage, select Academic Advising.<\/li><li>Select Apply to Graduate from the left menu. Note: If you\u2019re unable to proceed after this step, you may be short of earning 90 credits, or not yet certified. Please contact your academic advisor for more information.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Reviewing Your Degree Requirements<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>When you complete the graduation application, an audit of your degree is initiated using your Academic Progress report in myWSU. After applying for graduation, you can run an Academic Progress report at any time to monitor your progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">To Access Your Academic Progress Report<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>From your myWSU Student Homepage, select Academic Advising.<\/li><li>Select Academic Progress from the left menu.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Carefully review your Academic Progress report. As changes to your WSU academic record occur, they will be recorded on the University transcript system and your Academic Progress report should reflect those changes. If you see any discrepancies or have any questions, contact your academic advisor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During your last semester, you should be enrolled in the courses your Academic Progress report indicates you still need. If your Academic Progress report lists a course you need that you are not enrolled in, or if you see any discrepancies,&nbsp;<em>contact your academic advisor immediately<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you find that you need more time to complete your degree, changing your date of graduation is no problem!
