I have received notice from WSU that I\u2019ve been accepted. Now what?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
  1. You will receive a welcome message from the Global Campus. If you are pursuing an undergraduate degree, you will also receive an orientation email from your academic advisor, once he or she has reviewed your file and created your academic plan.<\/li>
  2. Be sure to review our TechReady site<\/a> to ensure that you have the skills and equipment necessary for online learning. On the site, you can:
    1. Find out what equipment you need to learn online.<\/li>
    2. Determine if your computer meets software and hardware requirements.<\/li>
    3. Test your internet speed.<\/li>
    4. Explore skills you’ll need to succeed as an online student.<\/li>
    5. Access tech tool resources including tutorials.<\/li>
    6. Learn about free software available to WSU students and presentation and collaboration tools you may encounter while learning online. <\/li><\/ol><\/li>
    7. If you haven’t yet set up your Okta\/Network ID account and need assistance, please contact the WSU Crimson Service Desk M-F between 8 a.m. \u2013 5 p.m. (PT) at its.wsu.edu\/csd\/<\/a>, 509-335-4357, or helpdesk@wsu.edu<\/a>.<\/li>
    8. Your MS Office 365 @ WSU email account will be created for you within two business days of your confirmed admission. WSU staff and your professors will correspond with you\u00a0only<\/em>\u00a0via your WSU email address, yourNID@wsu.edu. Using your network ID and password, log in to your WSU email account at\u00a0office365.wsu.edu<\/a>\u00a0and check it often.<\/li>
    9. Familiarize yourself with myWSU, your secure WSU student portal. Go to\u00a0my.wsu.edu<\/a>\u00a0and sign in with your WSU network ID and password.
      1. Start by making sure your contact information is accurate; select Profile, then review the information listed under Personal Details, Contact Details and Addresses.<\/li>
      2. Check out the information available to you. myWSU is where students go to pay tuition, register for classes, plan for future semesters, and more. <\/li><\/ol><\/li>
      3. Students taking courses through the Global Campus need regular access to a desktop or laptop computer with stable Internet access. Because your computer is your connection to your courses\u2014essentially the way you \u201cgo to class\u201d\u2014you also need to have a backup plan should your primary computer become unavailable. Check the Technology Requirements<\/a> to be sure your computer is up to date, and review the information about protecting your computer on the Tech Support page<\/a>.<\/li>
      4. Browse for courses in the\u00a0Schedules of Classes<\/a>. Be sure to select the\u00a0More Information\u00a0link associated with the course to learn what materials are required. Many course information pages also provide links to syllabi near the bottom of the page. Please note: If information is not yet listed on the course information page, be sure to check back.<\/li>
      5. Review the\u00a0Academic Calendar<\/a> to become familiar with critical deadlines. Select Global Campus and the applicable term to view the calendar.<\/li>
