ASWSUG\u2019s mission is to develop and maintain a supportive leadership organization while advocating for Washington State University Global Campus students and their unique needs and interests; design and facilitate events and informational services to all students and provide opportunities for students to achieve fuller participation in our campus community through student involvement activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Director of Student Events and Promotion is the point of contact and organizer for all events that ASWSUG hosts throughout the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Duties and Responsibilities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Responsible for planning student involvement events in conjunction with students, advisors, and departments.<\/li><li>&nbsp;Maintains the coordination and communication of all event aspects with ASWSU Global Directors and Advisors.<\/li><li>&nbsp;Support and facilitate ASWSU Global Executive Directors\u2019 initiatives and event ideas.<\/li><li>&nbsp;Coordinate with the Director of Promotions and Director of Communication and Compliance for all event marketing items and actions via Presence, social media, student newsletter, and possibly print media.<\/li><li>Collaborate with Global Connections to maximize marketing efforts for ASWSU Global events utilizing their capabilities and proven results to drive student engagement.<\/li><li>Drive student event engagement from registration, count-down reminders, event start alerts, and availability of asynchronous versions through email and communications in partnership with Directors of Promotion and Communication and Compliance.<\/li><li>&nbsp;Take initiative and action to identify and create student involvement opportunities based on the needs of students.<\/li><li>&nbsp;Plan and assist with the facilitation of online and in-person student events sponsored by ASWSU Global. Coordinate all mailing efforts with Advisors to ensure Global campus students receive their promotional items.<\/li><li>&nbsp;Gather student feedback and record metrics for every ASWSU Global sponsored event.<\/li><li>Attend all ASWSU Global sponsored events either in-person or virtual.<\/li><li>Execute and plan an in-person retreat and commencement reception for a large student body including catering, travel, and inviting other student involvement parties and speakers from WSU Global.<\/li><li>Plan and organize a virtual resource fair.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Position Description<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ASWSU Global Campus &amp; Community Engagement<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Communicate with President and Vice President about student comments and concerns that come to your attention pertaining to WSU Global campus.<\/li><li>&nbsp;Work with Global Campus administration and other student organizations to plan events and other student involvement or collaboration opportunities.<\/li><li>Always represent WSU Global Campus in a positive and professional manner, both on and off campus, while serving as the ASWSU Global Director of Events and Logistics.<\/li><li>&nbsp;Uphold and honor the Washington State University and ASWSU Global Mission Statements while serving as the ASWSU Global Director of Events and Logistics.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Meeting Management &amp; Committee Participation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Attend all ASWSU Global Executive Board meetings and events, unless previously approved.<\/li><li>Adhere to all the time requirements pertaining to office hours as specified in the Bylaws<\/li><li>Provide concise Director report at each Executive Board meeting.<\/li><li>Meet with President\/Vice President on a monthly basis, or more when requested. Serve on committees within or outside of ASWSU Global, as appointed or requested by the President\/Vice President.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Qualifications<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Currently enrolled S&amp;A fee paying Global Campus student.<\/li><li>Able to work and collaborate virtually, with minimal technical difficulties within reason.<\/li><li>&nbsp;Must be in good academic and disciplinary standing and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5<\/li><li>&nbsp;Able to commit to a full term from April 2024 through May 2025.<\/li><li>&nbsp;Willing to travel to in-person events and meetings.<\/li><li>&nbsp;Possesses knowledge of leading and developing a team and maintaining relationships with leaders.<\/li><li>&nbsp;Possesses excellent time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.<\/li><li>&nbsp;Exhibits student leadership through the servant leadership model.<\/li><li>Willing to be flexible with time commitments while maintaining a self-starter attitude.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n<\/div>\r\n\n\n<div class=\"wsu-column wsu-color-background--gray-5\"  style=\"\">\r\n\t\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"400\" height=\"335\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.wp.wsu.edu\/uploads\/sites\/3028\/2019\/12\/get-involved-with-aswsu-global_400x335.png\" alt=\"Graphic: Want to build your leadership skills?
