Global Campus Chancellor: Veteran’s Day

Dear Global Campus Cougs,

On this Veteran’s Day, as we honor those who serve and have served our country, I want to take some time to recognize the unique contributions of veterans, active duty military, guard members, reservists, and their family members who are Global Campus students. Six percent of our online campus community are veterans, and three percent are currently serving on active duty. Also among our ranks are many military spouses and family members who sacrifice much so their loved ones can serve. This is a large and vibrant group of online students, and they contribute their unique perspectives and life experiences to our campus community. I thank you all for this invaluable contribution and for your selfless service to our country.

I also want to remind military-affiliated students that WSU has many resources to help you along your academic journey. WSU Pullman’s Veteran’s Affairs Office provides Global Campus students help with veterans benefits and related issues. WSU also has a Vet Corps Navigator to give veteran and military students assistance with transitioning to academic life. Learn more about the veterans support available to Global Campus students on our Military and Veterans information web page.

Again, thank you all for your service, and GO COUGS!

-Dave Cillay, WSU Global Campus Chancellor
