The Carson Career Summer Series

In support of all WSU students’ continued professional learning, the Carson Center for Student Success is welcoming all current WSU majors and recent alumni to attend the Carson Career Summer Series this June. This virtual professional development series is open to all current WSU majors and school levels, alumni, faculty, and staff.

The Carson Career Summer Series will cover a wide variety of relevant topics ranging from exploring small business, understanding upward mobility in larger organizations, and resiliency through the economic impacts of COVID-19. This series will consist of 6 virtual lunchtime events on various relevant topics led by industry professionals and some Carson College board members.

RESILIENCE IN UNCERTAIN TIMES: THE IMPACT OF THE COVID RECESSION

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected all levels of life and business. And with no clear end in sight, how does one move forward in these uncertain times? Join the conversation with Amy Sweetwood, Sweetwood Consulting & Development/ Casa Mia Italian Restaurant; Braedan Binkiewicz, USI Insurance; Nate Higgins, self-employed; and Mitch Gilbert, W3 Entertainment Group, as they share their perspective from overcoming previous recessions and strategies for new professionals entering this challenging economy.
