Note: Admission applications for non-degree seeking students may be accepted until two weeks before the start of the semester, though we recommend applying as soon as possible.

Ready to begin? Your application process will depend on what category you fall into. For example, the procedure for a freshman differs from the procedure for someone with previous college credits. Please check the chart below, and select the application link that matches your status.

Admissions Information

Admission application fees are nonrefundable. Please contact us if you're unsure which application form to use. If you know your application materials will not arrive by the deadline, we recommend you apply for the following semester to avoid having to pay the application fee twice.

Acceptance to the University is valid only for the semester for which you apply.

UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSION APPLICATIONS
Freshman - 24 years of age or younger

If you anticipate graduating or have graduated from high school and have not been enrolled in college after the summer following high school graduation. Running Start students or students who have completed college coursework while in high school are considered freshmen for admission purposes.

If you'll be 25 years or older on your first day of classes at WSU and you have less than a full year of college work to transfer.

If you are a U.S citizen and have attended an accredited college or university after your high school graduation and never been admitted to any WSU campus and you are seeking an undergraduate degree through WSU Online.

International

If your country of citizenship is other than the United States of America and you want to take online courses or seek your degree online, please visit the International Students Welcome page for steps to apply. Under the Applying for Admission section, WSU Online applicants will want to review steps #1-3.

Former Student

If you previously enrolled at any Washington State University campus and you were absent for more than one semester (excluding summer), you are considered a former student and you need to apply for admission using the Former Student Application.

If you were not in good academic standing your last semester at WSU, you may need to be reinstated.

Note: A second business or hospitality business major is not available to WSU business majors and graduates.

Note: Priority for courses in high demand will be given to WSU Online degree-seeking students. Because application fees are nonrefundable, contact our Registrar's Office for course availability before you apply.
If you are a U.S. citizen who is non-degree-seeking, meaning you want to take WSU Online undergraduate courses:
  • to transfer to another institution
  • for personal enrichment
  • to earn an online undergraduate certificate

($25 nonrefundable application fee)
Change of Campus Form Request a change of admission and/or enrollment status from one WSU campus to another.
