WSU's online human development program focuses on individuals and families, and how they are linked to their communities. Students learn to work with children, teens, parents, and older family members as they encounter developmental tasks and life changes.
Potential careers include positions with local and state programs, such as Head Start, the YMCA and senior centers.
Students pursuing a bachelor's degree in human development may also earn a certificate in either early childhood development and care or gerontology. The early childhood development and care certificate is available for Washington state residents only.
