Molecular Biosciences - Undergraduate Certificate

<< Back to Degrees and Certificates

Students who earn an undergraduate molecular biosciences certificate will possess working knowledge of the foundations of three separate fields of study: genetics, microbiology, and biochemistry, and will have an understanding of how to use these disciplines to make informed decisions about current societal issues.

Those who earn the certificate will be well prepared to work in both science and non-science careers, they will be qualified for employment opportunities with non-profit organizations and government agencies involved in science making decisions, and they will be attractive to private sector businesses who require employees with interdisciplinary scientific training.

Note: MBioS 101, one of the core courses required for the certificate, has a weekend lab component that takes place in Pullman, Washington.

For complete information, including who should earn the certificate and how to apply to WSU, visit the School of Molecular Biosciences Undergraduate Certificate Web page.

If you have questions about the program, please contact the department at smbugrad@wsu.edu.
