Professional Certification Program (PCP)

The Washington State University Professional Certification Program allows certified teachers currently employed in a Washington state public or approved private school to fulfill requirements for completing an approved professional certification program or to improve their teaching techniques and explore personal growth opportunities.
Online courses
The 2-credit pre-assessment course (T & L 541) and the 2-credit culminating seminar (T & L 543) are available online through Distance Degree Programs. Other courses required to fulfill your personal growth plan may be available online.
Course Registration
- Teachers admitted to the WSU online ProCert Program register for courses on the Distance Degree Program (DDP) campus through the WSU online registration system. (See Schedule of Classes and choose the appropriate semester for the DDP campus.)
- Registration requires a WSU Network ID (NID) and password to log in. In myWSU,
select Academics/Learning/Add, Drop, Withdraw to register.
