Earn your Bachelor’s degree in management and operations online from WSU, one of a select number of business colleges in the United States fully accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business - International (AACSBI).

AACSB International -- The International Association for Management Education is a not-for-profit corporation of educational institutions, corporations, and other organizations devoted to the promotion and improvement of higher education in business administration and management. Organized in 1916, AACSB International is the premier accrediting agency for bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degree programs in business administration and accounting. AACSB International also is the professional organization for management education.

Washington State University’s management and operations program provides world-class instruction on how to motivate individuals to meet goals in the business community, and how to evaluate the economic, social, political, and technological trends that impact business. Understanding the planning, structure, and operation of an organization and its members will prepare you to succeed in the world of business.

Potential Careers

You’ll be prepared to start your own business or work in manufacturing, service, for-profit, non-profit, and governmental organizations. Some of the positions you’ll be prepared for include:

Program Pre-requisites

College of Business Certification Requirements:

Beginning Fall 2008, to certify as a management and operations major, students must have 60 credit hours, a 2.5 WSU cumulative GPA, and have completed the following ten courses with a GPA of 2.5 or better in the prerequisite courses.



Note: WSU Academic Regulations 34 states that students may ONLY repeat a course in which they have received a grade of C- or below, a withdrawal (W), or when a course may be repeated for additional credit. See Academic Regulations for more information.

Lower-division Prerequisite Courses:

Upper-division Business Core Requirements:
(15 semester credits)

Upper Division Management & Operations Requirement:
(3 semester credits)

Upper Division (300-400 level) Management and Operations Electives: (18 semester credits required from the following)

Global Learning Requirement

The College of Business has a six-credit global learning requirement intended to provide students with opportunities to develop skills and knowledge to succeed in the global marketplace. A variety of options exist to fulfill this requirement, including study abroad, international internships, and approved coursework.
