WSU’s online major in entrepreneurship provides the foundation you need to be successful—whether you’re launching your own business or leading product innovation at business startups to well-established corporations.
Offered in partnership with the College of Business, the online entrepreneurship major builds on business fundamentals and offers a curriculum that develops the unique skill set necessary for successful entrepreneurship.
WSU’s College of Business is one of a select number of business colleges in the United States fully accredited by the American Association of Collegiate Schools of Business- International Association of Management Education.

Career opportunities for entrepreneurship majors are virtually unlimited, bounded only by a student’s creativity, imagination, work ethic, and personal character. Entrepreneurship majors learn skills and attitudes that are valuable not only in the creation of new ventures, but also in reinvigorating established organizations.

College of Business Certification Requirements
Beginning Fall 2008, to certify as an entrepreneurship major, students must have 60 credit
hours, a 2.5 WSU cumulative GPA, and have completed the following ten courses with a GPA
of 2.5 or better in the prerequisite courses.
- 2.5 cumulative grade point average
- 60 semester credits
- 2.5 GPA in the certifying courses:
- Acctg 230 & 231
- B Law 210
- MgtOp 215 (formerly Dec S 215)
- EconS 101 & 102 (formerly Econ 101 & 102)
- Engl 101
- Math 201 & 202
- MIS 250
Note: WSU Academic Regulations 34 states that students may ONLY repeat a course in which they have received a grade of C- or below, a withdrawal (W), or when a course may be repeated for additional credit. See Academic Regulations for more information.
In addition to WSU general education requirements, entrepreneurship students must complete the College of Business graduation requirements and the program requirements of the degree.

Global Learning Requirement
The College of Business has a six-credit global learning requirement intended to provide students with opportunities to develop skills and knowledge to succeed in the global marketplace. A variety of options exist to fulfill this requirement, including study abroad, international internships, and approved coursework.
