Registration Basics

  • Registration opens—approximately six weeks prior to the beginning of spring and summer semesters (fall registration opens at the same time as summer). See DDP Academic Calendar
  • Registration closes—at the end of the first week of the enrollment semester.

Priority Registration

  • What is Priority Registration?—Registration times are assigned based on class standing and total credit hours earned. Current semester enrollments do not count toward a student's current class standing. See Rule 25 for class standing details.
  • Individual registration notification in myWSU—Each semester currently enrolled students will receive notification of registration for the following term(s) in myWSU.
    • Go to my.wsu.edu, select Academics, Register & Plan, then Registration Time & Holds to view your unique registration appointment time and any registration holds (also see below).
    • Plan to register as soon as possible after your registration appointment time to ensure the best chance of getting into classes needed.
