All students must be admitted to WSU to register for WSU courses. If you have not yet applied for admission to WSU, see Admission Information.

Note: If you are a DDP Advised student, please go to myDDP, select the “My Advising” tab, and then choose Restricted SLNs for the information you need.

About Restricted SLNs

A course’s schedule line number (SLN) must be used when registering, but the SLNs for restricted courses are not published in the Schedules of Classes.

A course may be restricted for a variety of reasons. Course space may be limited due to prerequisites, certification or accreditation. Courses with small enrollment capacities may give priority to DDP advised students, or students who are in their final semester. Some departments may prefer that students affiliated with a campus (Pullman, Tri-Cities, Vancouver or Spokane) take a campus-based section instead of a DDP section.

How to request registration in online courses with restricted schedule line numbers

(i.e., courses with no schedule line numbers posted in the Schedules of Classes). The SLNs may be restricted because of required prerequisites, certification or accreditation issues, and/ or space available in the course.

Information about the course and required materials is found in the More Information link in the Schedules of Classes (DDP). Some course materials may have fees that will be charged to your student account.

Before you submit the form:

Current admission to WSU is required for registration. Although admission is not required before submitting a restricted course request, admission must be complete before you can be registered in courses. If you have never been admitted to WSU, or have not enrolled in a new WSU course for more than two consecutive semesters, find information regarding admission requirements at:(link takes students to information about admission). Questions regarding your admission status may be directed to the DDP office at 800-222-4978.

All registration holds must be removed before you can be registered. Check holds in your myWSU
